Ivane Javakhishvili - 147
April 23 marked the 147th anniversary of the birth of the great Georgian scientist Ivane Javakhishvili. On this date, the presentation of the third volume of the almanac "Javakhiani" published by the National Center of Manuscripts and the Ivane Javakhishvili Center was held in the village of Khovle, in its house-museum. The publication presents works written by Ivane Javakhishvili about the state borders of Georgia, scientific works depicting the political situation of Georgia at that time, personal letters and official government documents. The almanac was presented by the editor-in-chief Davit Sartania. Historians: Zaza Abashidze, Giorgi Tcheishvili, Avtandil Ujmajuridze, geographer Dali Nikolaishvili, Manager of Ivane Javakhishvili's House-Museum in Khovle, Marine Koshadze, Kaspi Vice Mayor Zurab Kopadze gave speeches at the presentation.
In addition, representatives of the academic field paid tribute to the memory of Ivane Javakhishvili and decorated his grave with flowers.
