This monograph has been published with the financial support of the
Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia under the framework of the research project “Ethno-historical Processes in the Borderline
Region with the Russian Federation (Dagestan Section)” (BRG-I-24-617),
which was awarded a 2024 grant by the Shota Rustaveli National Science
Foundation of Georgia for the promotion of research projects and international scientific events on the study of Georgia’s border regions. The project was implemented on the basis of the International Scientific Research Institute of the Peoples of the Caucasus.
